Developing a Partnership Model to Lead Transformation:
What approaches to leadership match the power of contemporary pedagogy? What is the new job description of teachers? How do we move away from old-style hierarchical models. How might we group adults and students to support our transformation?
Who should attend: members of your design team, administrators, teachers, and students.
Focus:
- Examine new job description for teachers and for leaders based on new pedagogy.
- Define the nature of lateral or partnership models and how they differ from distributed models.
- Determine how to lead groups from “silos” to high functioning partnerships.
- Consider the various arenas for decision making in your school and refreshed approaches to engaging professionals.
- Identify the way professional development might be designed to enhance leadership in all members of the community.
Deliverables:
Updated professional development plan
Action plan to engage faculty groups into greater interaction.
Action plan to engage students into developing self-navigation skills and leadership capacity.
